Yummy science projects

I haven't joined the Pintrest bandwagon yet. However, I am reaping the rewards of this site by watching what other people post on their blogs about what they're finding on Pintrest. I found a couple of fun ideas for the kid's science.

Before Christmas, Alex studied the moon. As a follow up project, he created a moon phase cycle out of Oreos. He was more than willing to do this project since he got to eat most of the Oreos.


Brianna's science group had lab today. They are currently studying DNA. After doing their experiments they created a model double helix DNA out of licorice and marshmallows. Sitting in the jar behind the notebook is the DNA of peas. Not quite as tasty as licorice and marshmallows.


Science can be fun and yummy!
